VOCA is dedicated to providing professional training opportunities for artists of diverse backgrounds, enabling them to refine their skills in a wide range of creative arts disciplines.
Our Mission of Professional Training in the Performing Arts
These disciplines encompass playwriting, directing, filmmaking, dancing, producing, designing, stage managing, and acting. This training not only allows artists to develop their craft but also encourages self-discovery and artistic exploration. At VOCA, we are committed to providing a supportive environment where artists can learn, grow, and nurture their talents. Our professional training programs are open to various ages, welcoming individuals from all walks of life.
Last few years ago, in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, VOCA partnered with Deaf Spotlight to successfully organize its inaugural virtual Acting Workshop series in February 2021. This series featured two sessions tailored for actors at both beginner and intermediate levels, with expert guidance provided by Alexandria Wailes. The first installment of the series focused on Character Development & Scene Study, quickly garnering widespread interest and participation, establishing itself as a resounding success. It was an invaluable experience for all involved.
Looking ahead to the current year, we are excited to introduce our new Season 2023-2024, which includes expanded offerings. VOCA is delighted to announce the launch of its latest dance workshop series, commencing in October. This comprehensive series of workshops is designed to accommodate dancers of all skill levels and age groups. Whether you are a novice looking to take your first steps in dance or an experienced dancer seeking to further enhance your abilities, VOCA has thoughtfully curated workshops tailored to your needs. Check out our new Season 2023-2024 workshops and sign up today to embark on a journey of artistic growth and enrichment.
