VOCA Ensemble Unleash Your Potential
VOCA Ensemble represents as a change agent to provoke thought & introspection of social and cultural differences between various cultural groups through a series of interactive theater workshops and skits in American Sign Language and spoken English.
The Purpose of VOCA Ensemble
VOCA Ensemble is a uniquely talented group of BIPOC Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing artists that addresses social justice and racial equity in the Deaf community through interactive theatre workshops and performances. VOCA trains the members of VOCA ensemble to be a force of change and to help bridge the gap between the Deaf community and the hearing community. As an often-overlooked minority, VOCA believes that our D/deaf artists hold the keys to usher in the kind of change agent that is found through universal expression of art. In a society driven to perfect diversity, inclusion, and equality, VOCA foresees itself as a leader and model for positive social impact where cultural exchange can pave the road that leads to equal justice for all.
